Japan’s PM sympathizes with President Rouhani

Beijing, June 8, IRNA -- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Thursday condemned the terrorist attacks on Tehran and sympathized with the Iranian people in a message to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

Saying that Japan condemns the violent attacks, Abe extended his condolences to Iranians on behalf of the Japanese people and governments.

He said that terrorism is by no means acceptable and justifiable, and added Japan will closely cooperate with the international community to fight terrorism.

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Fumio Kishida also sympathized with Iranians on the same occasion in a message to Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on wednesday.

On Wednesday, two simultaneous attacks hit the parliament and Mausoleum of Imam Khomeini in Tehran, killing 13 and wounding 52.
