Hungarian PM congratulates Rouhani’s re-election

Vienna, May, IRNA – The Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán in a message congratulated President Hassan Rouhani on his re-election as president of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In his message to Rouhani, Orbán said, 'I assure you that Hungarian government will continue high-level negotiations with Iran to reinforce economic cooperation and promote ties between the two countries.'

Leaders and senior officials of many countries have so far extended congratulations on Rouhani’s victory.

The incumbent President Hassan Rouhani won a landslide victory obtaining over 23.4 million of votes (57%) from more than 41 million ballots cast on May 19 in the 12th presidential election held on Friday.
