Qasemi: US disloyalty blocking banking interaction in post-JCPOA era

Tehran, May 1, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said on Monday that it is over one year that unfair economic sanctions against Iran has been lifted, but due to the US disloyalty obstacles on banking cooperation with the world persist.

Speaking to reporters in his weekly press briefing, Qasemi said the 11th government was handed over a weak economy which was deprived of contact with the outside world, but successfully overcomes all difficulties in dealing with the US and its western allies.

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) implemented after hectic and long-term talks resulting to removal of economic sanctions endorsed by the United Nations Security Council and the US, he said.

Iran endeavors to remove obstacles in backing cooperation with the world, he underlined.

A simple look at the list of economic delegations who visited Iran over past four years indicates the depth of ongoing realities on the expansion of economic cooperation with the world countries, Qasemi said.

Lifting economic sanctions and promoting cooperation with the world countries will result in rise in export of non-oil commodities and bolstering of resistance economy, he said.
