Sarmadi made the remark in a meeting with Amal Movement leader's political deputy Khalil Hamdan on Wednesday.
Hamdan, heading a delegation comprising members of Amal Movement presiding body and Lebanese parliament members, are in Iran on behalf of Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berro to attend commemoration ceremony for the late Ayatollah Rafsanjani.
Sarmadi underlined Iran's principled stance favoring all-out support for Lebanon and various Lebanese ethnic groups.
He hoped that in the new era, bilateral relations will further expand.
Hamdan for his part said benefiting from Iran's supports, Lebanon has been able to succeed in two camps of campaign against Takfiris and the Zionist regime.
He said Iran and Lebanon have since long ago maintained strong relations as extensive ties have been existing between the two countries' political and religious personalities.
