Foreign Ministry refuses biased reports on Zairf visit to Nigeria

Tehran, July 26, IRNA – An informed source in the Foreign Ministry refused biased reports on the content of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif meetings with Nigerian officials.

Unfortunately, some media victimize national security and Islamic Republic interests for political purposes, the official added.

Zarif arrived in Ghana Monday evening in the second leg of his African tour after visiting Nigeria.

He is expected to meet with Ghana president, parliament speaker and foreign minister during his stay in Accra.

Zarif left Tehran for the Nigerian capital, Abuja, on Sunday evening.

Heading a high-profile politico-economic delegation, he arrived in Nigerian Capital early on Monday and held constructive talks with the Nigerian officials.

Zarif’s African tour will then take him to Guinea-Conakry and Mali.
