Greece eyes developing ties with Iran

Athens, July 14, IRNA – Greek officials in a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi expressed their interest to develop multilateral relations with Iran.

Takht-Ravanchi met Greek Minister of Economy, Development and Tourism Giorgos Stathakis and also with Greek Minister of Environment and Energy.

Both sides discussed developing economic, trade and industrial ties and cooperation between two countries.

Iranian and Greek sides declared their political will to develop ties in different fields like oil and gas and renewable energies, pharmaceutical, modern technologies, shipbuilding and shipping, tourism and promoting banking relations.

Iran and Greece expressed their readiness to implement the document signed in the wake of Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras' trip to Iran on February 7, 2016.
