Japan ready to work with Iran to upgrade quality of car spare parts

Tehran, May 10, IRNA - Japan External Trade Organization official and JETRO representative in Iran said on Tuesday that Japan would work with Iran to upgrade quality of car spare parts.

The Japanese official and JETRO permanent representative in Iran held talks with head of the Institute for Trade Studies and Research of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Reza Razavi.

Both sides reviewed ways to cooperate on manufacturing car spare parts, enjoying JETRO's technical aids including training, extending know-how in producing spare parts for cars, training and applying advanced methods to improve quality, cost-effective delivery and development (QCDD), JIT management and kaizen method which is a Japanese business philosophy of systematic improvement of products.

Razavi said that Japan used to be the supplier of cars to the Iranian market, but, cooperation with Japanese company currently aims to boost productivity and upgrading the quality of car industry.

Regarding the history of cooperation between the Institute for Trade Studies and Research and JETRO to utilize JETRO services, both sides agreed to continue cooperation and to hold regular consultations to advance the goals.
