Iranian trade delegation arrives in Islamabad

Islamabad, March 25, IRNA – A 60-strong Iranian trade delegation arrived in Islamabad, capital of Pakistan, on Friday morning hours before arrival of President Hassan Rouhani in the city.

Head of Iran's Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mohsen Jalalpour is heading the delegation.

The delegation aims to study grounds for expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and recognize capacities of both sides to stregthen bilateral ties.

The Iranian delegation is to hold a joint meeting with members of Pakistan Investment Council on Friday afternoon.

The delegation is also to attend Iran-Pakistan economic meeting on Saturday morning in the presence of President Hassan Rouhani and Pakistan Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

President Hassan Rouhani left Tehran for Islamabad on Friday morning to hold talks with Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on issues of mutual interest.
