Iran, Iraq to expand cinematic, academic relations

Baghdad, March 11, IRNA – Iraqi Minister of Culture and Head of Iran-Iraq Friendship Association Jaber al-Jaberi says Iran and Iraq are to expand ties in cinema and academic spheres.

Talking to IRNA, al-Jaberi said his association has diversified programs for bilateral ties, including relations in the cinema and academic fields.
He said Iraqi people have today understood that Iran has sincere ties with wide spectrum of Iraqis, including Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds.
He added that Daesh war on Iraqi nation and Iran's siding Iraqi government and nation had extensive impact on change of attitudes. 'Iran's support has won consent of Iraqi Sunnis.'
He asked Iran to help Iraq in various cinematic fields, production of documentaries and media.
