Cyprus official hails Qom’s quest for growth, development

Qom, March 11, IRNA – Chairman of Cyprus Chamber of Commerce Christos Michaelis said upon observing the pace of development in the city of Qom it can be said that it will soon pass behind the process of progress and development.

Speaking in a meeting between Cyprus investors and a number of Qom officials, he said Qom due to its potentials can be turned into a tourism hub but its economic perspective should also be taken into consideration.
Stressing that Horwath Company of Cyprus has so far built a large number of hotels in different parts of the world, he expressed the hope that Iran can use the experience of the Cypriot company.
Meanwhile, deputy mayor of Qom in charge of investment said near 20 million passengers visit the holy city annually, expressing the hope that by using service and welfare capacities in the province further facilities will be provided for investment in the construction of hotels.
Mohammad Reza Marefat further remarked that the city of Qom is capable of using foreign investment, adding that the municipality can provide the investors with the required permissions and plots of land for the implementation of different projects.
