Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi said Iran currently possessed 60-knot speed fast boats but is to increase the speed of its new vessels in the coming year.

'IRGC is the only naval force of the world which enjoys such capability since all naval forces around the globe enjoy fast attack boats with speed below 35 knots.'

Fadavi made the remarks during a ceremony in the southern city of Bandar Abbas in Hormuzgan Province where tens of the Ashura- and Zolfaqar-class fast vessels as well as rescue boats joined the IRGC naval forces.
