First VP: Iran’s future, economy promising

Tehran, March 9, IRNA – First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri said the future, economy and investment in the country will be very good and promising, adding that brighter days are ahead.

Stressing that Iran today holds the upper hand in many cases in the region, he said Iran's power is the result of the wise management of the Leader and efforts of the armed forces, adding that this authority needs to be accompanied by an economic authority as well.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Jahangiri noted that the current calendar year, 1394, (to end March 20) was the toughest years after the victory of the revolution in terms of economy but such a hard time also passed away.
He said although with the drop in oil price in 1394 Russia, Azerbaijan and the Persian Gulf littoral states faced problems and serious changes in national currencies however the Iranian people did not feel such economic turbulence as they were under sanctions.
Hoping that the government can complete all the semi-finished projects in the next Iranian calendar year (to begin on March 21), Jahangiri expressed the hope that within the next two and a half years Iran can manage to increase its exploitation from South Pars gas fields to the amount being taken by Qatar.
