Governor: Suitable opportunity to invest in Hormozgan prov.

Bandar Abbas, March 5, IRNA- Governor of Hormozgan province Jasem Jadori said that lifting anti-Iran sanctions provided a suitable opportunity for the presence of foreign investors in this province.

According to The Public Relations Department of Hormozgan Governorate announced on Saturday, Jadori, in a meeting with International Container Terminal Services Inc.
(ICTSI), said Hormozgan can use the capacity and potential of this internationally known company.

Jadori said the province has high capacity in ports and constructing a big port in Jask town is on the agenda.

International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) is a port management company in the Philippines. It was incorporated on December 24, 1987, and has been cited by the Asian Development Bank as one of the top five major maritime terminal operators in the world.

The Senior Vice President of Europe & Middle East at ICTSI said that the company is one of the container loading and unloading operators in ports which operates with 7m TEU capacity in the world intending to increase the capacity up to 10m TEU container.

Hans-Ole Madsen added that after the lifting of the sanctions, the company's representatives have visited Iran several times for investment.

He noted that ICTSI is active in the Middle East and countries such as Pakistan and Iraq. He expressed hope for their presence in Iran.

He reiterated that ICTSI is ready to invest on port activities in Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas.
