Restoring Iran ties will generate 80,000 jobs in Germany: Official

Berlin, March 3, IRNA - Head of foreign trade at the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry Volker Trier said that resuming economic and commercial relations with Iran will generate 80,000 new job opportunities in Germany.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the First Economic Assembly of Iran and Germany, he added that removal of anti-Iran sanctions will create a chance for generating tens of thousands of jobs in Germany.
Given Iran's rich resources in the energy sector, German exports to the country can become fivefold to hit $10 billions euro in the coming years, he said.
Trier added that Iran was Germany's second most important economic partner outside Europe.
Lifting sanctions against Iran has created a chance for the German economy to have multi-billion-euro orders from the country, he said.
He also predicted that German exports to Iran will experience a two-digit growth in 2016.
