Chabahar attracts attention of Japan in post-sanction era

Chabahar, Sistan-Baluchestan, March 2, IRNA – A senior official of the Japanese Foreign Ministry said the Chabahar Port due to its appropriate location, neighborhood with oceanic waters and possession of good capacities and capabilities in the post-sanction era is attractive for Japan and economic activists of that country for investment

Yusuke Tomo Fuji, on a two-day visit to Chabahar, in a meeting with the officials of the port city said the port is the connection point of Afghanistan and the Central Asian countries to oceanic waters, adding that Japanese investors are highly willing for activities in this strategic point.
Meanwhile, Abdolrahim Kordi, a member of board of directors of Chabahar Free Zone said the permission has been issued for the construction of Chabahar International Airport with the completion of which the trip of domestic and foreign tourists and investors will be facilitated.
He said the high security of Chabahar Zone provides an appropriate opportunity for investment, adding that so far no case of insecurity has been reported for tradesmen, businessmen and the transit route of Afghanistan trucks.
Chabahar, in east of Iran and on the coast of Makran and Gulf of Oman, is dubbed as the gate for Iran’s development, due to its access to international waters.
