Talking to IRNA, he said the Civil Aviation Organization is not after purchasing airplanes from other countries.
Rather, he said, it is the airline companies that engage in direct talks with companies which manufacture aircraft.
They only announce the final result of their discussions to the Civil Aviation Organization after they come to a final agreement, he added.
All Iranian airlines could get in touch with foreign aircraft manufacturers to meet their demand for new planes, the official noted.
