Foreign firms in Iran Enviro Fair 2016

Tehran, Feb 27, IRNA – The 15th Iran International Environment Exhibition is slated for February 29 - March 3 in the Iranian capital.

Some 33 foreign firms from 20 world countries as well as 271 domestic companies will attend the 15th Iran Enviro Fair 2016 to display their latest achievements in the environment.

'Green Economy, Post-Sanctions Era' is the motto of Iran international fair.

The participating countries include Britain, Germany, Sweden, France, Finland, US, Ireland, Canada, Taiwan, Belgium, Italy, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Spain, Austria, Brazil, New Zealand, Denmark, Turkey and Switzerland.

Iran Enviro Fair this year is aimed to exchange experiences in the environment between the participants.

It is expected that foreign firms will have more active presence in Iran's areas of environment, energy and modern technologies in near future.

On July 14, 2015, Iran and the six world powers reached a landmark nuclear agreement known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

On January 16, 2016, anti-Iran sanctions were lifted as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) verified Iran's nuclear program and 'Implementation Day' of the JCPOA started.

Coincident with Iran Enviro Fair, the 8th International Renewable Energy, Lighting and Energy Saving Exhibition is also to be held on that day.
