Nazarpour said the field will be put into operation officially soon.
He said once projects for commissioning of the field are complete, the tentative period of production will begin for a period of 21 to 28 days. In the period under study, production in Yadavaran field should go on without any problem so that the first phase of the project for daily extraction of 85,000 barrels of oil will be possible, according to the official.
He added that out of the 85,000 barrels of oil produced in the field, 70,000 barrels will be light crude and 15,000 barrels heavy crude.
Yadavaran, which Iran shares with Iraq’s Sinbad, was awarded to Sinopec about nine years ago under a $2 billion deal to operate the first phase in July 2014 and raise recovery to 200,000 bpd in the second phase.
The field has a reserve of 31 billion barrels of light and heavy crude oil.
