Iran's new envoy arrives in Ankara

Ankara, Feb 23, IRNA – Iran's new Ambassador to Turkey Mohammad Ebrahim Taherian Fard arrived in Ankara on Tuesday.

Upon his arrival, Taherian Fard said he will do his utmost to develop, deepen and expand bilateral ties between the two countries.
Taherian Fard has already served in Croatia, Afghanistan and Pakistan as ambassador.
Iran's former ambassador to Turkey Ali Reza Bigdeli returned home on Sunday at the end of his tenure.
Iran's Charge de Affairs in Ankara Ali Reza Delkhoush told IRNA that Ambassador Taherian Fard, before traveling to Turkey had already visited three Iranian border points with Turkey and got acquainted with their problems and situations.
The third meeting of Supreme Council on Strategic Cooperation between Iran and Turkey is due to be held this year in the presence of the presidents of both states in Ankara. Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is also to visit Iran in near future.
