Oman seeks Iran participation in port development

Tehran, Feb 21, IRNA – Visiting Omani minister of commerce and industry said here that his country is interested in Iran's participation in development of three Omani ports.

Ali bin Masoud bin Ali al Sunaidy said here Sunday that Oman is willing to widen aviation cooperation with Iran regarding increase in number of flights between Iran and Europe in the post-sanctions era.

On January 16, anti-Iran sanctions were lifted as 'Implementation Day' of the July deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was announced.

Also, he said, Oman has assigned an area of 150,000 cubic meters to Iran's Embassy in Muscat. The Iranian companies can do logistics activities there.

Ali bin Masoud bin Ali al Sunaidy along with a delegation headed by Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi arrived in Tehran on Saturday.
