Official says South Korea should make up for poor cooperation during sanctions era

Tehran, Feb 20, IRNA – Head of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization Valiollah Afkhami Rad said South Korea should make up for its poor cooperation with Iran at the times of sanctions.

He said Iran is making planning for new chapter of cooperation during the ten days remaining to the visit of a South Korean economic delegation to Tehran.

He said the 11th meeting of the joint economic cooperation will also convene during the visit of the delegation.

As for joint ventures with South Korea, he said there is suitable grounds for production of vehicles and household appliances.

He said the country is not going to focus on just the import of goods and ignore the domestic potential and capacities of young Iranian experts.

He said the countries seeking to cooperate with Iran have to devise joint ventures with Iran.

The 11th joint economic committee between Iran and South Korea will convene in Tehran from Feb 28-29.
