Switzerland seeking constructive ties with Iran: Envoy

Zanjan, Oct 7, IRNA – Swiss ambassador to Tehran Julio Haus said on Wednesday that Switzerland believes in having good and constructive relations with Iran.

Speaking during a meeting with managers and economic activists of Zanjan province, Haus said that Iran and Switzerland have longstanding relations dating back to the 17th century. Noting that there are significant capacities for promotion of ties between the two countries, Haus said that further cooperation between Iran and Switzerland and making more progress depends on turning opportunities into successes. Haus referred to reaching a nuclear deal between Tehran and the six world powers, saying, Switzerland is a major trade market for Iran and once the nuclear deal is finalized, it will pave the way for expansion of trade between Iran and European countries. On establishment of Iran-Switzerland Joint Chamber of Commerce, the Swiss ambassador said that his country fully supports the establishment of this chamber. 2222**1377
