Rafsanjani: Forged Israeli regime to be wiped-off map one day

Tehran, July 6, IRNA -- Presence of the forged Israeli regime is temporary as eventually one day this alien existence that has been urged into the body of an ancient nation and a historical region will be wiped off the map, said Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani on Monday.

The chairman of the Expediency Council made the comment in an interview with Al Ahd news website affiliated to the Lebanese Hezbollah Movement.

In response to a question why the Zionist regime has done its best to prevent the path for reaching a nuclear agreement between Iran and the West, Ayatollah Rafsanjani said that even Tel Aviv knows well that Iran is not after acquiring nuclear weapons.

'By doing so the Zionist wish to keep Iran engaged in problems permanently, knowing that the Islamic Republic's political, economic, cultural and propagation status will all improve after such an agreement,' he said.

Asked about the future of the Palestinian nation, Rafsanjani said that he still believes that eventually one day the forged and temporary Israeli entity, which is an alien existence forged into the body of a nation and a region be wiped off the map.

'Now when, and how that will happen, depends on the conditions which are rapidly changing. Those conditions can be provided very soon if the usefulness period of Israel will expire,' he said.

'It might as well take very long, as both Israel and its supporters are trying their best to extend its existence period till a very remote future,' he added.

Rafsanjani said that that is because Israel is today a multipurpose stronghold for them of which they can be benefitted greatly.

'Of course they spend a lot for protecting Israel, but they are still gaining greater benefits from its existence. One way to be benefitted from Israel is that the West is selling arms to the Arab world on that pretext very easily and pretending it is doing them a great favor,' he said.

The EC chairman all the same predicted that Israel's existence cannot last long as it has a validity date which will one day end.
