Mayor: Isfahan ready for national, foreign investments

Isfahan, June 28, IRNA – New Mayor of Isfahan metropolitan city announced on Sunday that the city, one of tourism poles of Iran, is ready for absorbing national and foreign investments, especially in tourism field.

Mehdi Jamalinejad made the remarks in a meeting with economic activists, Isfahan Municipality staffs, and Isfahan City Council and Chamber of Commerce members.
Isfahan is keen on national and foreign investment and the provincial officials warmly shake hands with Iranian and foreign investors to develop infrastructure of the historical and beautiful city.
Jamalinejad who was elected mayor by City Councilmen last week said that the Isfahan Chamber of Commerce can encourage the investors to invest in Isfahan and other Isfahan provincial cities in a balanced way to stop the wave of immigrations from those cities to Isfahan that is already faced with overpopulation.
Meanwhile, he proposed further strengthening of the science-based companies in Isfahan at the service of tourism and the city's other sectors, arguing that it is a necessity in light of situation of Isfahan at the intersection of the north-south and the east-west transit routes.
