Iran is ready against proxy wars: Commander

Isfahan, May 25, IRNA – Commander of Army Ground Force Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan said the Iranian army forces are fully ready to fight any enemy in an imposed proxy war.

Pourdastan made the remark while talking to reporters on the sidelines of the final phase of Beit al-Moqaddas drill that started this morning in this central Iranian province.

The commander referred to the new face of threats against Iran.

The existence of terrorist and Takfiri groups have made it necessary to design due tactics in line with the threats and be ready to fight them, said the senior commander.

The Iranian Army is well prepared to protect the country's borders and provide security there, said the commander, adding all moves in borders, region and extra-region are being carefully observed.

Pourdastan said the defense industry of the country is capable of serving the requests of the armed forces in the shortest time.

The Army will make anyone who dares to threaten Iranian borders 'disappointed', noted the commander.

The final phase of Beit al-Moqaddas 27 war game began in Nasrabad, Isfahan, on Monday morning.

The first phase of the maneuver started in the western province of Kermanshah on May 22.
