Salehi meets Jordanian King

Amman, May 7, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi in Amman on Tuesday held talks with Jordanˈs King Abdullah II on regional issues and the Syrian crisis in particular.

The meeting was held behind closed doors and without presence of reporters.



Salehi arrived in Jordan earlier in the day and met and conferred with his Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judah.



The two foreign ministers discussed regional and international issues.



Bilateral relations, Tehran’s proposal for settlement of crisis in Syria and ways to stop terrorism in the region are among issues to be discussed by Salehi and senior Jordanian officials.



Salehi will also raise consequences of any foreign intervention and the need to prevent spread of the crisis to other countries with the Jordanian officisls.



Salehi is also scheduled to meet Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour later in the day.
