Aliari of Iran cruises to gold in Asian Games

Incheon, South Korea, Sept 30, IRNA – The Iranian 98kg Greco-Roman wrestler Mehdi Aliari on Tuesday won a gold medal after defeating the Chinese rival 8-0 in the Asian wrestling games of the 2014 in Incheon, South Korea.

With Aliari's gold medal Iran has bagged 14 gold medals to jump to 5th place in the medal tally on Day 11. The medal tally for Iran has thus improved to 35 with 14 golds, 11 silvers and 10 bronze.
The gold medalists for Iran have thus far been Behdad Salimi, Mohsen Mohammad Seifi, Mohammad Daneshvar, Najmeh Khedmati, Mohsen Shadi, Esmaeel Ebadi, Reza Yazdani, Masood Esmaeelpour, Meysam Mostafa Jowkar, Parviz Hadi, Masood Hajji-Zavareh, Ehsan Haddadi, Habibollah Akhlaghi, and Mehdi Aliari.
The silver medalists have been Leila Rajabi, Narjes Emam-Gholinejad, Kianoush Rostami, Hamid-Reza Lador, Elahe Mansourian, Arvin Moazami-Goudarzi, Ahmad-Reza Talebian, Ezatollah Akbari, Ali-Agha Mirzaie and Seyed Fazl Ula, Seyed Ali Esmaeelzadeh Pakdaman, Farzad Baher Arasbaran, Mohammad Rahbari, Najmeh Khedmati, Narjes Emam-Gholinejad and Elahe Ahmadi.
The bronze medalists also were Seyed Mojtaba Shojaee, Amir Rahnama, Sulmaz Abbassi, Homeira Barzegar, Nazanin Mowlaie, Mahsa Javar, Sulmaz Abbassi, Sajjad Abbassi, Esmaeel Ebadi, Amir Kazempour, Majid Gheidi, Hossein Asgari, Arezoo Hakimi, Adel Mojallali, Sousan Hajipour and Saeed Abdevali.
