Grounds prepared for expansion of Iran-Romania economic cooperation

Tehran, April 29, IRNA - Head of Romania-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group Surin Stefan Roshka said on Tuesday that nuclear talks between Iran and G5+1 have prepared the grounds for expansion of economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries.

A Romanian delegation conferred on Tuesday with the Head of Iran-Romani Parliamentary Friendship Group Mohammad Mehdizadeh on expansion of parliamentary cooperation between the two sides.

The Romanian chair of Iran-Romania parliamentary friendship group voiced satisfaction with his visit to Iran and called for promotion of all-out cooperation between the two countries.

Cultural and social commonalties between the two countries help broaden bilateral relations and cooperation, he said.

Following positive atmosphere created in the wake of talks between Iran and G5+1, the grounds are prepared for broadening economic cooperation between the two sides, he said.

The aim of Romanian delegationˈs visit to Tehran is to upgrade current level of relations between the two parliaments as well as broaden interactions between the two governments, said Stefan Roshka.

The role of parliamentary cooperation between the two sides is of prime importance, Mehdizadeh said.

Parliamentary cooperation play a leading role in reflecting political and social realities in the two sides, he said.

The two sides also expressed dissatisfaction with the low level of trade exchange in recent years and underlined that there are huge potentials for increasing bilateral trade through active cooperation of their private sectors, chambers of commerce and Iran-Romania joint economic commission, they said.

Referring to nuclear talks between Iran and G5+1, Mehdizadeh said signing up of NPT and constant supervision of the IAEA over Iranˈs nuclear sites prove Iranˈs honesty.

Prohibition of proliferation and stockpiling of nuclear weapons have roots in Iranian religious believes, he said.
