FM official stresses solid bases of resistance in regional equations

Talking to IRNA on Monday, he said Iran firmly believed that the axis of resistance in the region will continue its upward trend, thanks to the recent regional developments.

He said the regional developments, resulted from the Islamic Awakening wave, are making things more difficult for the Zionist regime while the spirit of resistance is steadily rising in Palestine.

Commenting on the recent visit to Iran of Palestine’s democratically-elected Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, Amirabdollahian said the strategies of the Palestinian people in continuing resistance till restoration of their ultimate rights were underlined during the visit.

Turning to Syria, he said Iran believed that the people and government of Syria should carry out political reforms while simultaneously confronting foreign interventions and terrorist schemes to retain their position in the frontline of resistance in the region.
