None of the films participating in the festival managed to get the “Crystal Simorgh (phonix)” while Diploma of Honor was extended to “Days of Life” produced by Saeed Sa’di and Sima Film and “Bullet Proof” produced by Reza Rakhshan in the Iranian Cinema Competition section.
Parviz Sheikh Tadi was awarded as best director for “Days of Life” and Mostafa Kiai received Crystal Simorgh for “Bullet Proof” for best script.
Farhad Aslani was chosen as best actor for his roles in “The Bear” and “Private Life” and Hengameh Ghazian received Crystal Simorgh for best female first role “Days of Life”.
The Jury Special Award went to Dariush Mehrjuie for “Narenji Push” (Man in Orange Costume).
Prizes were also awarded to the best ones in New Outlook section (First Films) and Cinema Verite (Documentary Feature).
On the occasion of the 33rd victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, 30th Fajr International Film Festival was held from February 1-11, 2012 in Tehran and some other provinces.
Fourteen international films competed for the best award in the Festival’s World Panorama sector.
The movies included works sent to the secretariat of the festival from countries like Poland, France, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Algeria, UK, Spain, USA and Bolivia.
The Selection Committee of International Cinema competition sector selected 60 films out of 553 films sent to the secretariat.
A number of three-dimensional films were also scheduled to be screened during the event.
The number of Iranian films lining up for the sector stood at 32.
