Al-Deiri made the remarks at a meeting with the governor of Markazi province in the provincial capital of Arak on Sunday.
“According to assessments by Iraqi experts, Arak has favorable commercial and industrial capabilities and I hope that such potentials will be used for further expansion of bilateral economic ties,” he added.
The Iraqi official termed the purpose behind his one-day visit to Arak visiting the Hepco Heavy Machinery Company stationed in Arak.
“According to the investigations by Iraqi experts, the capacities of Hepco Company have been deemed as acceptable for Iraq and a memorandum of understanding was signed between Iran and Iraq in the field of setting up a company to manufacture heavy and semi-heavy machineries in Iraq with joint venture of both countries,” Al-Deiri said.
Markazi province Governor for his part said that Markazi province has about 2,700 small and big industrial units, 19 industrial satellite cities, two 2,500-megawatt electrical power stations, four big gas pipelines transferring gas to other parts of Iran and Europe, factor for production of aluminium ingot, two refineries and petrochemical companies.
Ali Akbar Shabanifard pointed out that Iran supports Iraq and Markazi province is ready to launch all production lines of all industries.
