MP: Majlis to decide on IAEA Board’s latest anti-Iran resolution
|
Tehran, Nov 28, IRNA – Majlis will, in its open session on Sunday, study an anti-Iran resolution adopted on Friday by the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
|
“We have acted on all our commitments towards the IAEA and the NPT; so, adoption of such resolutions against us is unjustified; such a resolution is politically motivated and has no value in our opinion,” Member of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Hojjatoleslam Hossein Ebrahimi told IRNA on Saturday.
He said that Iran released information on Fordo facility times before undertaking any commitment. “We acted on our duty very well; so, the IAEA should be accountable for such resolutions adopted against us,” he protested.
He added that the US and certain European states are sensitive towards the Islamic Republic of Iran’s activities and the more Tehran cooperates with international institutions, the more they take anti-Iran stances.
“Iran does not fear such resolutions. Our duty is safeguarding past stances, resistance and perseverance as well as having the national resolve for progress and development in all domains,” he declared.
