In this article we have surveyed the stands of a circle whose common stand has been their anti-Ahmadinejad position.
Fa’ezeh Hashemi Rafsanjai: We want to ward off the ongoing wretchedness. (Address at Azadi Sports Complex, mid-spring of 2009)
Ms. A. M.: In case of occurrence of election fraud we would ask the people to express rejection with their presence in the streets, but in case there would be no cheating we are sure that Mr. Moussavi would be the winner. (On Election Day, Aftab website)
Hossein Mar’ashi: Ahmadinejad is way worse than Banisadr. (Kayhan newspaper, early spring of 2009)
Mohammad Hashemi Rafsanjani: Ahmadinejad is one step ahead of the dictators. (Mid-spring of 2009, Johouriyyat website)

Ahmadinejad acted even worse than Qajar monarch Nassereddin Shah (Salam website, mid-spring of 2009)
Mohammad-Reza Khatami: From the psychological point of the view we see that at the peak of their power, the totalitarians took advantage of every means, including religion, sanctities, even bigotry, public money, and the national mass media at the service of fooling the masses to re-elect them. (Celebration of the Coalition of Reformists in Zahedan, mid-spring of 2009)
The poor and the ignorant might vote for Ahmadinejad and that is a real threat. (Celebration of the Coalition of Reformists in Zahedan, mid-spring of 2009)

Former Tehran mayor Morteza Alviri: Ahmadinejad’s approach is populist, based on nurturing more and more paupers, and its continuation can pose a real threat against the noble Iranian nation. (Javan-e-Farda daily, mid-spring of 2009)
Solidarity Party top member, Yadollah Eslami: Mounting political, social, economic and cultural problems (resulting from Ahmadinejad’s four-year tenure) pose serious threats against our future and we are also faced with the threat of nonchalance towards the foundations of scientific management and obsessive populism. (Mid-spring of 2009, Jomhouriyyat website)
Mehdi Hashemi Rafsanjani: Ahmadinejad’s governance reminds us of Banisadr’s tenure. (Early spring of 2009, Yari website)
M. M., consultant of the head of Expediency Council: I hereby ask the Guardians Council of the IRI Constitution to reject the competence of President Ahmadinejad for re-running for presidency, since he is not a true politician. None of the former IRI governments had been a faithless about the rule of the Supreme Leader as this government. (Aftab News website, mid-spring of 2009)

Mostafa Tajzadeh addressing the people of Jahrom city at Jahrom City Hall: During the course of the past four years our universities were governed as military barracks and then they (President Ahmadinejad’s government) claim that Iran is the freest country around the globe. (Qalamnews website, mid-spring of 2009)
The government has imposed full censorship against the nation in all types of mass media during the course of the past four years.
I hope Azarbaijan would wrap up the file of the liar government as soon as possible with their votes. (Ghalamnews website, mid-spring of 2009)
I have given them (the 9th Government) the name “Islamic Monarchy”; Even during the ousted Shah’s regime we were not faced with such a sever censorship of the media. If Ahmadinejad would be re-elected we would become an Islamic Zimbabwe, since today we have already become an Islamic Gabon. (Mid-spring of 2009, Saqqez City, Ghalamnews website)
Behzad Nabavi in an interview with “Kalame-ye Sabz daily (Mid-spring of 2009): Methods applied in campaign against Mr. Moussavi are Stalinist. The gentlemen (President Ahmadinejad’s campaign crew) mainly rely on the gold coins distributed by him among the people during his four year tenure; we too, can claim we could have done the same had we been as thirsty for buying votes as he is.
We would stand tall in our country, by the side of our own nation, and reveal the lies of the liars and the bigotry of the fanatics, pushing our way towards victory against the likes of Banisadr.
Mohsen Aminzadeh (At election campaign of Tehran University and Medical University, early spring of 2009): The government distributes free potatoes. Ahmadinejad also distributes money at vast level nationwide and keeps the atmosphere of elections quite cold by vote buying, hoping to win resorting to such illegal strategies. The government had planned to distribute equal to 20 billion US dollars among the people in pre-election period, but the Parliament did not permit them to do so. Some state media, too, abandoned the election campaign as a result.
It was later on revealed that the twenty billion rial “stew money” distributed among Tehrani citizens had been from the Municipality money (during Dr. Ahmadinejad’s service as Tehran mayor).
Abdollah Ramezanzadeh in Yazd, at anniversary marking former President Khatami’s March 23rd victory: According to Intelligence Ministry report, only four percent of the money allocated to fast-benefit-yielding companies has been used for the pre-determined purposes.
Rationalism and macro-scale planning are long forgotten elements in this government.
There is news around that the Oil Ministry has been under pressure to allocate 700 million dollars of its incomes for President Ahmadinejad’s cash distributions among people in pre-election era. (E’atemad daily late spring of 2009)
Ahmad Zeydabady after the announcement of the election results: These results have been engineered to match the formerly announced state media predictions. This should serve as a lesson that before making sure that the election atmosphere is fair and free attending the election poll and entering the scene for competition is illogical. Ahmadinejad would soon be caught in a quagmire of the nuclear crisis. From now on he would also have to fight against the self-made legitimacy crisis simultaneously.
The political system this way closes the way for the participation of the youth and a majority of the nation for good. (From an interview with the German news agency, Deutche Welle; a day after the announcement of the election results).
The above mentioned quotations were, but a drop from the tsunami of the psychological war launched against President Ahmadinejad’s camp, aimed at disturbing the public opinion.
